De film gaat over Asuna, een meisje dat haar eenzame dagen doorbrengt met het luisteren naar de mysterieuze muziek die uit de kristallen radio komt die ze van haar vader als aandenken kreeg. Uiteindelijk vertrekt ze op een avontuurlijke reis om een jongen te ontmoeten en op die manier zal ze zowel de wreedheid als de schoonheid van de wereld ontdekken, alsook de betekenis van verlies.
